About Us
Welcome to Lonsdale Elementary School! Located in Board of Education District 1 and KCS Region 5, our school has been a proud part of the Knoxville community for many years, and we are honored to serve the children and families of the historic Lonsdale neighborhood. We are a place where learning, love, and community come together to give every child the opportunity to grow and succeed.
Lonsdale Elementary is home to about 570 amazing students and more than 120 dedicated staff members who work together like a family. Each day, we strive to create a safe and caring environment where every child feels valued and supported. Our students come from many different cultures and backgrounds, and we celebrate this diversity as one of the things that makes our school such a special place.
Through our Community School Program, we partner with families and local organizations to provide resources and opportunities that support not just our students, but the entire community. From after-school programs and tutoring to family events and enrichment opportunities, we are committed to making sure every child has what they need to thrive.
