Whether you’re new to our school or a longtime Lonsdale Elementary School family, we want to provide the resources you need to achieve success.
This is a central hub for students and families to easily access information for navigating the school and school day, including enrollment, student handbooks, information about schedules, extra curricular activities, and more!

Enrollment
Lonsdale Elementary School serves students preschool through fifth grade.
Students who are zoned for Lonsdale and attended a Knox County school are automatically enrolled.
Enrollment for students who are new to the districts must be completed in person by a parent or legal guardian.

Daily Schedule
At Lonsdale Elementary , the school day begins at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 2:45 p.m. on regular school days.
Students must attend for at least 3.5 hours to be counted present for the day.

Student Supports
The entire staff at Lonsdale Elementary is committed to establishing an atmosphere in which children will feel safe, secure, and happy so they maximize their opportunities to learn and achieve. The school has trained counselors and social workers on staff.

After School Care
Boys and Girls Club is Lonsdale's only on-site after-care provider, but several other organizations offer pickup and transportation to off-site programs.

Extracurricular Activities
Lonsdale Elementary offers several extracurricular opportunities. Through these experiences, students have the opportunity to expand their classroom learning, get to know peers with similar interests, and explore new skills.

Library / Media Center
Our library is a hub for student learning, reading, and discovery. In addition to the school library, teachers may maintain individual collections of age-appropriate books in their classrooms to support literacy and foster a love of reading.
Support Organization
Lonsdale Elementary School is supported by a strong network of parent and community organizations through the Parent Teacher Friends Organization.
